“I PLAY A SUAVE, SOPHISTICATED BADDIE”

Kuttram 23 is an upcoming film being produced by Arun Vijay featuring him and Mahima Nambiar in the lead. The film is directed by Arivazhagan and is nearing the finish line.

Handsome Vamsi Krishna of Maan Karate and Ivan Vera Maadhiri fame has been roped in to do the honors as the baddie in the film and we indulge in a quick chat with the actor:

“I have joined the sets of Kuttram 23 a couple of days ago and the shooting will happen for around 10 days. Arun is a close friend and like my family. We got to know each other from Thadayara Thakka days and we have also worked in Vaa Deal.

Few months ago, when I was shooting for Motta Siva Ketta Siva, I got a call from Arun’s office and I met director Arivazhagan. They said they were planning to cast me as an antagonist. I heard the story and felt it was brilliant. The genre of medical thriller is not much explored here in our films. 

My character is also sketched well. Usually villains have been portrayed in a very rugged and goonda types. But in Kuttram 23, I play a suave, stylish, sophisticated guy with a lot of evil within him. It is going to be a different angle we are going to deal with in Kuttram 23. It will also be different from my earlier roles.

As regards my other projects, I have completed Motta Siva Ketta Siva and also a schedule of Muthuramalingam. I have wrapped up two Telugu films. I am in talks for a big project. You will know it soon when I finalize them”
