Thanu's first production was a film titled Yaar?, directed by Sakthi-Kannan and Arjun in the lead role. Post the same, he has bankrolled some exemplary projects, with the latest being Dhanush's Karnan.
He recently penned a heartfelt letter to the CM of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, thanking him for his sincere efforts to help better the lives of people of the state during such a crucial and trying crisis. He has also enclosed a cheque of Rs. 10,00,000 along with this letter, as a small gesture from his part to help the state in its efforts to help the citizens.

Up next, Thanu's Telugu remake of Asuran, Narappa with Venkatesh, Priyamani, Prakash Raj is ready for release and he is also bankrolling Suriya-Vetrimaaran's Vaadivasal and Dhanush-Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven.
