There could be a paucity of rains or water or any such commodity in Tamil Nadu. But Kollywood would never go dry with its Friday releases. In that breath, we saw the release of three films this week which have caught the attention of movie buffs. They are Maragadha Naanayam, Uru and Peechaankai directed by Saravan, Vicky Anand and Ashok respectively.
Coincidentally, all these films have been directed by debutants and have impressed the viewers. This just goes on to reiterate the fact that if the content is good enough, patrons are bound to be there.
Peechaankai had a new concept of Alien Hand Syndrome; Maragadha Naanayam had taken to humor to convey a fantasy subject while Uru is a psychological thriller. These films may not be spoken for their grandeur making or special effects or for any technical gimmickry. But what the team did was to believe in their story and narrate it sincerely which has resulted in a positive response.
Hats off Team!
