On December 3, two Tamil short films Oru Nodi Pozhudhil and Kaasu Panam Thuttu Money Money were screened in Boleyn Cinemas, London.
The screenings were attended by more than 350 people coming from various part of the UK. Karthik Raghavan, who starred in both the short films introduced the cast, Krishna Balasubramanian, Raju Bhai, Dr Ravi Srinivas, Dr Amarendra, Mrs Janaki Ranganathan, Rajneesh Subbaraman, Janaki Chotai and Swastha Shankar. Later the crew behind both films, Ananth Ponnuswamy, cinematographer, Manikandan Radhakrishnan, director of Oru Nodi Pozhudhil and Hemanth Kambam, director of Kaasu Panam Thuttu Money Money were introduced. The introduction was followed by a vote of thanks to sponsors.
The first short film Oru Nodi Pozhudhil is an emotional drama, which was highly appreciated for the way it portrayed the effects of dangerous driving on oneself and on those around, it's narrative style and strong social message. It undoubtedly left an impact on the audience.
Kaasu Panam Thuttu Money Money dealt with greed, anger and betrayal. It received a positive response due to the treatment of what happens when a bag of money falls into the hands of three gangsters and two greedy strangers.
The common feedback from the audience was very positive of experiencing two high-quality short films over the weekend, which is a new experience for the Indian diaspora.
