DHANUSH TO BE THE FIRST TAMIL ACTOR TO...

Dhanush is now extremely busy with a string of films coming his way. The most recent announcement being the sequel of Velaiyilla Pattathari 2 (VIP 2) going on floors. The Kodi actor now has 4 other films, Gautham Menon's Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta (ENPT), his own directorial venture, Power Pandi in which he also plays a small role, Vetri Maaran's gangster-trilogy, Vada Chennai and also his Hollywood film. 

There has also been a recent buzz about Dhanush and director Balaji Mohan of Maari fame coming together again for the sequel of Maari, Maari 2. There was a photograph of the bound script of Maari 2 that made rounds on social media platforms. This sequel was talked about a lot and it can also be expected in 2017.

If VIP 2 and Maari 2 make their way to the silver screens in 2017, Dhanush will be the first ever Tamil actor to have 2 sequels releasing within a single year. It is also to be noted that Dhanush and Kamal Haasan are the only Tamil actors to have more than one film with sequels. Kamal Haasan had earlier done Kalyanaraman and Jappanil Kalyanaraman and his cult film, Vishwaroopam also has a sequel which is yet to hit the screens.

Can we expect both Maari 2 and VIP 2 to hit the screens by 2017? Let’s wait and see!
