Dhanush and Vetrimaaran came together for the third time after Polladhavan and Aadukalam with the gangster saga, Vada Chennai. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, director Ameer, Andrea, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, and many others.
Upon release, the film received rave reviews and was being praised all over for its raw and realistic approach. But simultaneously, like many films, Vada Chennai had its share of controversy and problems.
Ameer and Andrea play husband and wife in the film and a love-making scene was picturized with them on a boat in the middle of the ocean. This, however, did not go well with the people of the fisherfolk community as they felt that their sentiments were hurt as the boats and catamarans are sacred to them.
Following this, director Vetrimaaran had gone on record to announce that he will be removing the scenes from the film and work for that is underway. In a recent development, the team has given a press release that in which they have revealed a super interesting information.
The issue with the fisherfolk community is said to have been amicably settled. And post the removal of the love-making sequence, it has been said that the team has replaced it with two other scenes involving Ameer and Andrea.
In various promotional events, Vetrimaaran was seen to be saying that Vada Chennai part 1 had footage up to Five and a half hours long. So, it wouldn't have been a hard task to replace the scene. Now, the shows running in theaters will feature the new scenes!
