As India celebrates its seventh International Yoga Day today, many celebrities had shared posts on social media about how the practice has enriched their lives and urged people to take up the same. This year, unlike all years, the practice of yoga has gained more prominence due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Mollywood superstar Mohanlal penned a positive note on this day while sharing a photo of him doing exercise on the beach. He shared the photo on Instagram with the caption that roughly translates to: "It is said that with every breath we breathe the future in and the ghost out. We will also overcome this decadence where the germ has to breathe. On this World Yoga Day, we can enlighten ourselves and others by breathing in the hopeful future and exhaling the ghosts of bad times with Mass. Greetings." He was seen sitting in a meditative state and fans are already pointing out the massive body transformation that he has undergone.
Actor-Comedian Soori who's been aceing his yoga game, took to Instagram to share pictures from his practice and he looks as fit as a fiddle. He wrote, "In this time, it is important that we protect both our physical and mental health. Yoga is a wonderful pratice that gives such protection."
Actress Kajol put up a hilarious post on International Yoga day and shared a old picture from one of her movies where she is seen sleeping and said, "You had me at shavasana," symbolising the 'resting yoga pose'.
Actress Raai Laxmi shared a video where she was seen practising a couple of yoga poses. She captioned it saying, "What you think, you become." The actress has always been a fitness enthusiast and was earlier seen showing her moves in belly dancing.
Bigg Boss Tamil fame Ramya Pandian too shared serene beachside pictures of her practising yoga. Ramya's poses in different yoga asanas surprised her fans. Her caption read, ""Yoga is the dance of every cell with the muscle of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony."
