“T.RAJENDAR IS A POSITIVE BOMB!”

T. Rajendar has been singing quite a few numbers of late. Some of them being, the Happy New Year single from Kavan and Damukaatlaan Dumukaatalaa from KIN. His Dandanakka from Romeo Juliet was a sensational hit.

The latest is that he has crooned a number for the movie 7 Naatkal, directed by Gautham VR which has music by Vishal Chandrashekhar of Sawaari and Jil Jung Juk fame.

In an exclusive chat with Behindwoods, music director Vishal said, “T.Rajendar is a high energy positive bomb and an excellent prospect to this song and album. We did not plan on a Kuthu number initially but since it’s his forte, we decided to go with a Kuthu song with a slight difference. This song will have a lot of electro and trap with some foot tapping music complimented well by TR’s voice. He is such a humble person and while recording him, it’s best to let him be rather than restrict him as that is when he brings out the best in him.”

Apart from 7 Naatkal, Vishal Chandrashekar also has Jiiva’s Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae under Atlee’s production, Kuttram 23 by Arivazhagan and Kanneer Anjali directed by Guhan Seniappan. He has also recently recorded legendary singer S.P. Balasubramanyam for Radha Mohan’s Arulnithi project titled Brindavanam. “It is a proper melody on the lines of Kaatrin Mozhi” says the busy music director who has a bunch of projects in hand.
