In a recent conversation with Behindwoods, distributor Tirupur Subramaniam had made a few allegations on all the top heroes. You could find the 1st part of the interview here - PART 1
Tirupur Subramaniam had released Bairavaa in the Coimbatore belt, and he wasn’t particularly happy when Vijay had arranged for a celebration meeting with the cast and crew of the film. Read further to know why:
“For Bairavaa, Vijay had gifted gold chains to the technicians and artists who had worked in the film. I am the Coimbatore distributor of Bairavaa, and I incurred a loss of Rs 1.64 crores. When I had to sell my gold chains for my losses, wouldn’t I feel bad when the hero is gifting gold chains to his team? This is what we don’t want the heroes to do.
Those days, MGR used to enquire, if the canteen owner is profitable while screening his films. I am not asking the actors to do that. The least they could do is to call the seven distributors of Tamil Nadu, one distributor from Kerala, one from Karnataka and one overseas. A hero can call for a meeting with these ten individuals alone and check the reality with them and then they can hold a success meet if these distributors are happy."
