Thol. Thirumavalavan, President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, was interviewed this morning regarding the controversy surrounding Vijay's new flick Mersal, due its dialogues criticising GST.
He said, "I have not yet watched Mersal, so I cannot comment on the dialogues. But BJP should not attack the film. It was the censor board which approved the film after reviewing its content, and so it is the censor board that should be the target of BJP's protests."
Vijay's Mersal is enjoying a great reception among the public and Thalapathy has now thanked the audience through his official social media page, for making Mersal a huge success at the box office.
He has posted, "Thank you for making #Mersal a Great success.. அனைவருக்கும் உள்ளம் கனிந்த நன்றிகள்". Yet again, the much-liked star has shown his humbleness by thanking everyone for the film's success.
