Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri in the legendary actress' biopic, Nadigaiyar Thilagam. Speaking to the press, she said "The director approached me to play this role after Thodari. People praised me for Thodari, while many criticised me for it. But, that film has given me an opportunity to act in Mahanati and Nadigaiyar Thilagam and that makes me feel happy".
