During this crucial testing times, several of them had come forward to extend their helping hands to the needy. One among them who has never shied away from jumping into such generous acts is Bollywood’s King Khan - Shah Rukh Khan.
For the unversed, on April 24, Shah Rukh and wife Gauri Khan announced that they have lent their office, located in Khar Mumbai, to BMC and turned it into a quarantine centre. This move of the couple was appreciated by BMC where they posted a thank you note for them.
Now, the latest reports emerge that the BMC has further converted the Superstar’s office into an ICU for critical Covid patients. The 15-bed facility went operational a few days ago in association with Khan's Meer Foundation, Hinduja Hospital in Khar and the BMC.
Executive director of Hinduja Hospital (Khar), Dr Avinash Supe was quoted saying, “It has been equipped with ventilators, oxygen lines, high flow nasal oxygen machines and liquid oxygen storage tanks for high-risk and critical patients. The service will be run by Hinduja Hospital under the guidance of the BMC." Stay tuned for more updates!
