April 30, one of the darkest days in the history of Kollywood as the film industry is mourning the loss of Tamil director and cinematographer KV Anand who passed away aged 54 due to a heart attack.
Several celebrities and fans are expressing their heartfelt condolences and shock through their social media. KV Anand began his career in films as a cinematographer with his debut being Thenmavin Kombath in Malayalam and later turned to direction.
According to the latest reports, the mortal remains of KV Anand will be brought to his residence by 11 AM, and it is expected to be directly taken to the graveyard at Besant Nagar. It has been informed that only 30 mins have been permitted for the body to be kept at his residence.
Now, one of his closest and dearest friends, Prem Panicker, an Indian cricket journalist, has taken to his social media to pen an heart-breaking incident in which the late director had promised to call him on Sunday (May 2) which now, Prem says that it is the only promise he has ever broken.
"I will call you on Sunday" -- the first, and the only, promise he has ever broken.
