Following this, the investigation led by Sriperumbudur RDO Divyashree was expedited as it was investigated in the regards that there was suspicion in her death. Chitra's husband Hemnath, her parents, Chitra's parents, friends and those who featured with her in the serial were subsequently interrogated.
Following this, an investigation report has been submitted to the Assistant Commissioner of Poovirunthavalli on behalf of the RDO. And the latest the news that has come in is this: It has been reported that 'Actress Chitra did not commit suicide due to dowry torture'.
