''NO MORE MOVIES IN CHENGALPET''

Theri’s producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu, producer T.Siva and Nadigar Sangam President Nasser met press personnel recently to discuss issues related to the release of Theri. While talking on the subject of Theri not being released in many parts of Chengalpet, producer Thanu completely disowned responsibility for the tussle in the release.

“Whenever a big expected film gets released, only in the Chengalpet area issues are being created by some people. Though we were ready for distribution of the movie in all theatres, these people haven’t come forward to buy the film because of their incomprehensible expectations”, said Thanu.

In light of this, many members of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council have taken a decision to not screen films in theatres in Chengalpat, which refused to screen Theri, in the future. Notably Studio Green Productions K.E.Gnanavel Raja has also voiced support to this decision. It was also mentioned in the meet that Kabali, 24, amongst others, will not be screened in such theatres in Chengalpet.
