WHY VEDALAM IS SUPER-HIT AND THERI A BLOCKBUSTER IN CHENNAI BO?

The recent Vijay starrer Theri has grossed around 8,76,97,254 at the Chennai box office by the end of its 3rd weekend run according to Behindwoods analysis report. In spite of some new releases like Manithan and Vetrivel, Theri continues to hold majority share of the screens across the town and also earn the status of the first Blockbuster film of 2016.

Coming to the baseless comparison of why Vedalam was given a superhit verdict and Theri being rewarded with Blockbuster verdict. One can rest assured that both are profitable ventures but at the Chennai city box office Theri has fared better. The major reason for this being the limited release for the film in Chengalpattu district which has given it a large and free run at the Chennai city limits. Theri continues to pool in more even on its 4th week which is a good sign for trade.
