RED HOT: TAMIL NADU BOX OFFICE REPORT - THERI DAY 1 COLLECTIONS

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is known to be a star who generates grand openings for his films and his latest commercial outing Theri is no different.

As per our sources, Theri has reportedly grossed around 10.5 - 11 crores at the Tamil Nadu box office on its opening day (14/4/2016). These are unconfirmed figures and an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.

Theri has not released in major parts of Chengalpet region due to few trade disputes. With Chengalpet district being one of a money-spinning sector, there is a possibility of business around 2 to 2.5 crores being missed out.

The reviews of Theri have been majorly positive and the film is likely to have a free run for a week or two.
