''OCCUPANCY OF THERI AND VEDALAM WERE BETTER THAN KABALI''

Kabali is doing excellent business in cities like Chennai and Coimbatore. But how has a Rajinikanth starrer performed in 2nd and 3rd tier cities? In order to know some ground level fact, we had contacted Raghul Kumaresan, the proprietor of Gopi Krishna complex. It is one of the renowned cinema theatres in Theni district.

“Kabali was released in 6 theatres across Theni district. Almost all big releases will have a similar type of release. Rural based action films will find more prominence in Theni district. Kabali has done very good business but its occupancy is less when compared to Theri or Vedalam. Both those films were released on festive days and perhaps that could be one of the reasons.”
