A FILM THAT DECIDES TO GIVE AWAY THE ENTIRE COLLECTION TO FARMERS

Thappattam is an upcoming film that features Public Star Sudhakar with Dona as the leads. The film is directed by Mujibur Rahman. The unit had mentioned that they would offer the entire collection of the film at the feet of all those farmers who had protested in Delhi.

After having heard this, Ayyakannu, President, National South Indian Rivers Linking Farmers Association, had issued an appreciatory note to the team. Following this, the film unit represented by producer Adam Bawa and hero Sudhakar, gave Rs 1 lakh to Ayyakannu to be given Rs 25000/- each to four farmer’s families who had sacrificed their lives in the farmer’s protest.

When Ayyakannu spoke, he said, “Tamil Nadu is going through an unprecedented drought situation which is forcing farmers to commit suicide. We had sought relief from ministers and Chief Minister, who had turned a blind eye to us. In such a situation, we are glad about the help of the team of Thappattam. It is also appreciable that they have come forward to give away the entire collection of the film”.
