In a conversation with Behindwoods, National Award winning actor, Thambi Ramaiah talks about his experiences working with Thala Ajith. When asked about Ajith Kumar, with whom he has worked in Veeram and Vedalam, this is what he said;
''Ajith sir is Thala. First of all, getting to his stature is not easy. During the shooting of Vedalam, over 100 fans were standing above the place we were shooting. If it were Vijay sir, I would tell him that fans are there and he would wave, and they will go. My comfort level with each actor is different.
The fans were all excited and looked a little scary with twirled mustaches. I was just thinking why Ajith isn't looking up and waving because if he did that, they would just leave. But I had my inhibitions to tell him.
Just when I was about to tell him, he found the right time, and he just looked up, gave a glance, lifted his hand and everybody started screaming. At the same time, he lowered his hand, looked up again asked them to be quiet and move away. Suddenly they all just vanished. I was shocked and surprised. I just felt that this was how MGR had control over all his fans, and then Superstar did. It's just pure Mass.''
