The film is directed by Atlee and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner AGS Entertainment.The film has GK Vishnu as the Director of Photography, and AR Rahman as the music director.

The first look poster was released on June 21st to commemorate Vijay's Birthday. The fans are eagerly waiting to see their favourite star on screen after a gap of one year. Actor Manobala was recently roped in to play a comedic role and there is another big update announced.

The popular audio company, Sony Music South had bagged the audio rights of this upcoming film and taking to their social media, they have come up with a new big announcement. The tweet stated, “Bigil Podalaama” which may actually hint one that the much-awaited first single from the film is on its way! And yes, another announcement from the team is out which is massive.
