Vijay’s next film after Master has been tentatively referred to Thalapathy 65. There were many director names associated with this project, names like Magizh Thirumeni, Vetrimaaran and Sudha Kongara were hinted for the collaboration with Vijay for the first time.
Now, replying to a fan's tweet, Actor/Director Parthiepan has shared that Vijay had once asked him to direct his movie Azhagiya Tamizh Magan long back, and that what the fans expect will soon take place in a 'vere level', according to his own words.

Parthiban was last seen in Thittam Poattu Thirudara Koottam. Before that, he worked as the brains behind a solo act film, which was handled almost completely by a single person. In Oththa Serupu Size 7, Radhakrishnan Parthiban acted, directed and produced the movie. If Parthiban is to direct Vijay in Thalapathy 65, can't help but wonder about the surprise in store - from the combo of a talent acting powerhouse and an equally gifted actor/director.
Vijay is currently busy with the works of Master. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film features Malavika Mohanan as the female lead while Vijay Sethupathi, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, VJ Ramya, Gouri G Kishan amongst others will be seen in prominent roles.
