Our reliable sources tell us that director Siva has been confirmed to direct Ajith for the fourth time, after Veeram, Vedalam, and Vivegam. The source also adds that Vivegam's producer Sathya Jyothi Films is most likely the frontrunner to fund this project.
For now, only director Siva is confirmed; rest of the cast and crew are not finalized, and in the coming days, we can expect an official announcement.

Hello Ajith fans, we have an exciting news for you after a long time. Yes, it is about Thala 58 and we have the official word about who is going to direct it.
We recently interviewed producer Aishwarya of Shri Sai Raam Creations, the producer of Ajith starrer Vedalam. During the discussion when we asked her if Sai Ram Creations would be funding Ajith's upcoming film, she replied saying, "It is confirmed that Siva sir would be directing the film but we are not sure if we would produce it or someone else. There have been talks and if Ajith sir is interested we will produce the film."
