She will be next seen in the biopic on the supremely talented Shakuntala Devi. The biopic is on the extraordinary story of the human computer. Directed by Anu Menon, the film is produced by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia. The film is expected to release by 2020’s Summer.

As the actress kicks off her shoot, the makers have shared the first look of Vidya Balan. Her look from the film is the striking resemblance of the ‘human-computer’, Shakuntala Devi. The film that has gone on floors is reportedly said to shoot till December straight.

For the unversed, Shakuntala Devi was an Indian writer and mental calculator, popularly known as the "human computer". Her talent earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. She had donned many hats over the years. Besides her love for mathematics, she was an astrologer, cookbook author and a novelist. She travelled the world demonstrating her mathematical ideas. Her book, The World Of Homosexuals, is also considered to be the first study of homosexuality in India.
