Piracy has been a never ending problem for Tamil cinema, especially for big films like Vivegam. Pirated copies of Vivegam have already started to circulate on the internet. Preventing piracy completely is near an impossible task in the current scenario, but the filmmakers cannot let it go without giving a fight.
Apparently, Tamil Nadu Film Producer Council has been manually banning YouTube pirated videos of Vivegam. It is nice to see TFPC headed by Vishal is taking steps to curb piracy in the means they can.
Having said that, websites like Tamilrockers and other Torrent portals continue to be a huge threat to Vivegam. It would be commendable if TFPC finds a way to stop these portals from releasing pirated copies of films.
