Sushant Singh Rajput, who won wide acclaims for his impeccable performance in M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story is all set to play another sportsman.
Yes, the Dhoni actor will be seen portraying the role of Murlikant Petkar, a Paralympian, who won a gold medal at the 1972 Paralympics in Germany. Petkar, who was originally a boxer, won the gold medal for setting a world record in the 50m freestyle swimming event, at 37.33 seconds. He also participated in javelin, precision javelin throw and slalom events in the same Paralympics competition. He was a finalist in all three events.
Sushant Singh, in a recent conversation with reporters, said, "The minute I heard his story, I was on. I wanted to do it without a second thought. What an inspiring story! After playing Dhoni, I’m looking forward to playing Petkar, who never allowed his physical hurdles to stand in the way of his dreams. I like playing characters who dream big."
He also has Dinesh Vijan’s Rabtaa, Homi Adajania’s Takdum, and Chanda Mama Dur Ke in his line up. So, wouldn't it be cool to witness Sushant in yet another biopic of a sportstar?
