Superstar Rajinikanth and AR Murugadoss’s much-awaited cop-flick, Darbar had hit the big screens on January 9th and is being received well at the box-office. As expected, the film is rocking the box-office in this Pongal season.
Bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions, Anirudh has scored the music for the film. A dialogue from Darbar had apparently offended a politician and as requested by her lawyer and supporters, the production company had removed the dialogue from the film, which they recently announced officially.
With that, popular director Suseenthiran has issued a statement saying that few people are intentionally making bad remarks on the film and that he strongly condemns it. He also heaped praise on the film that it is a good entertainer to celebrate this Pongal season. Suseenthiran added that he was fully satisfied with the ticket money he paid, just after watching the first half of the film.
Apart from Superstar, the film featured Lady Superstar Nayanthara as the female lead, while Suniel Shetty, Yogi Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Jatin Sarna, Prateik Babbar, Nawab Shah, baby Manasvi Kottachi amongst others were seen in prominent roles.
