The whole of the Tamil Cinema industry is shell-shocked, following the suicide of producer Ashok Kumar, who is also the brother-in-law of actor Sasikumar. Now, director Suseenthiran has now released a written statement about this controversy surrounding the famous financier, Anbuchezhiyan. Read ahead to find out what he has said;
"Greetings to all. Ashok Annan's death must be the last death due to usury lenders in Tamil Cinema. I have a shocking news to share with all Ajith fans. What Ashok Annan faced is exactly what Ajith Kumar had also gone through during the initial stages of Naan Kadavul (Ajith was initially supposed to play the lead in Bala's Naan Kadavul)**. Even Ajith sir would not deny this fact. Filmmakers including Lingusamy, Gautham Menon, and many other producers have all been victims of financier Anbucheziyan. In fact, he also decides as to which film Imman can score the music for, and not. Anbuchezhiyan must be punished for this misery that is happening in Tamil Cinema. More than 50% of Tamil Nadu's money is with him, and I request the government to conduct a raid on his house."
** Ajith Kumar was initially supposed to play the lead role in director Bala's Naan Kadavul. There is a wide speculation that Anbuchezhiyan, tortured Ajith to walk out of the film. It is also rumored that he forced Ajith to pay back the advance money lent, and even pay a hefty interest rate on it. Eventually, Ajith walked out of the film and Arya was later roped in to play the lead.
