HUGE! SURIYA TAKES UP THIS CULT FILM'S SEQUEL!!

In 2016, debutant Vijay Kumar came out with a cult film Uriyadi, which he directed and played the lead in. The film was received good critical success but a comparatively less commercial reach.

It was based on caste politics and the lives of a few college students. The film had fine performances and Vijay Kumar produced, directed, acted and also composed the background score single-handedly. 

Now, a super news comes our way as our sources have confirmed that there would be a sequel to the film. Uriyadi 2 will have Vijay Kumar directing the film and playing the lead role while there's a big change in the production company!

Suriya's 2D Entertainment has taken up the production for this project and the shooting is said to begin on September 20. 

The film is expected to hit the screens in early 2019. Stay tuned for more.
