MALAYSIAN DAILY'S FALSE NEWS ON SURIYA

A Malaysian Tamil daily has falsely reported actor Suriya as having demanded money for appearing as the chief guest at a religious gathering. Suriya has categorically denied knowledge about such an event and such a  community ever approaching him. He has also reinforced the fact that he being an artist is never a person to participate in religion or caste based gatherings.

The actor has also warned through his press note that legal action will be taken against the said group if he finds them using his name falsely. On a final note, he wished to express his grief on account of such false news being propagated frequently and requested the support of everyone to quash the same.
