Actor Suriya has always voiced out his opinion on the different issues that happen in the society. He has been bold and upfront in saying his thoughts, loud and clear to the society.
Recently, the death of 2 people Jayaraj and Bennicks in the police station of Sathankulam village has sparked off a controversy, with people all over the country condemning the brutal act by the cops. Actor Suriya has now released a breaking statement on this issue.
A part of his statement read “Even for criminals who commit unforgivable crimes, the Human Rights commission says they should not be hanged to death. The demise of two innocent people inside the lock-up indeed defames the entire police force of the state. We can’t just walk past this as a one-off incident that happened somewhere.”
“The doctors have declared the father and son’s body as clear. The magistrate too, has not examined the case in the right way. Even in the prison, the rules and regulations have not been followed accordingly. This is an upright breach of duty. It is indeed the rights of a citizen that is being questioned by those in ‘power’.These sad deaths are happening like an organized crime,” lashed out Suriya.
