Malayalam superstar Prithviraj is basking in the success of his recent comedy Driving Licence, a comedy that featured him and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. Directed by Lal Jr., the film tells the story of a clash between a superstar and his ardent fan.
At a recent event, while answering to a fan query, Prithviraj spoke about the rapport he shared with the Tamil star. He said "After Vikram sir, Suriya is one of my closest friends from the Tamil film industry. I know him at a personal level."
Prithviraj bonded with Suriya since the former had worked with Suriya's wife Jyothika in the 2007 drama Mozhi. The actor said that he and Suriya used to watch newly released films in Maayajal theatre "I've eated food at his home and Jyothika is very caring. He is the most simplest actor I've met. (Suriya is) another version of Lalettan (referring to actor Mohanlal)."
On the work front, Prithviraj will be helming the sequel of his 2018 blockbuster Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role. Titled Empuraan, the film's shoot is expected to commence this year.
