THROWBACK: WHEN SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH ENDED HIS FAST AGAINST THE CAUVERY ISSUE BY TAKING A SIP OF JUICE!

Apart from the Superstar, Annaatthe also features Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Soori, Sathish, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu to name a few in prominent roles and is a D Imman musical.

A still from the film where Superstar is seen having a good discussion with his director Siva was making the rounds on the internet sometime back. Superstar had wrapped up his schedule in Hyderabad.

The songs in the Annaatthe album have been sung by the late SP Balasubrahmanyam, Sid Sriram and D Imman himself, and there would be totally six songs in the mix.

SPB, as he is fondly known, has a long history of delivering Superstar’s introductory song, so much so that there exists a belief that if SPB sings Rajini’s intro song, the film is bound to be a hit and musicians, typically avoid giving the intro song to some other singer, owing to this superstition. Their hits include “Naan Autokaran” from Baasha, “Vandhenda Paalkaran” from Annamalai, to the recent “Naan Dhaanda Inimelu...” from Darbar.
