Touted to be police-oriented action film, Darbar has all the blockbuster elements such as Anirudh Ravichander as the music director for the film, Santhosh Sivan as the cinematographer for Rajinikanth after Thalapathi (1991), and the cuts of the movie will be handled by Sreekar Prasad. This film is bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.

It was earlier revealed that actor Vishnu Vishal’s brother Rudra would be working as one of the Assistant Directors under the ace filmmaker, A.R.Murugadoss. And, the latest addition to the cast is veteran actor, Thengai Srinivasan’s grandson, Adithya Shivpink who will be seen acting with the Superstar for the third time.
