It was last month that Suriya announced his exclusive four-film deal with Amazon Prime Video. Suriya-Jyotika's Production house 2D entertainment inked the deal with the popular OTT platform for the release of four films - 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum', 'Udan Pirappe', 'Jai Bhim' and 'Oh My Dog' in September, October, November and December respectively.
After the successful release of Arisil Moorthy's 'Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum' on September 24 - that starred Mithun Manickam, Ramya Pandian and Vani Bhojan in lead roles - Jyotika's 50th film 'Udan Pirappe's' release date was announced a few days back. The movie has Jyotika, Sasikumar, Samuthirakani and Soori playing pivotal roles.
The trailer of the movie has now been released today. It showcases Sasikumar was the village rebel who beats up gangsters. While the story poses a familar concept of a rural drama, what is going to set it apart from other movies will be the sibling relationship of Jyotika and Sasikumar. We can see Samuthirakani playing Jyotika's doting husband who is concerned about Sasikumar's rebellious nature as he hints that something wrong might happen to his family.
'Udan Pirappe' is directed by Era Saravanan and Produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their banner 2D Entertainment. The movie will be released directly on Amazon Prime Video on October 14, coinciding with the festive date of Ayudha Pooja.
