Actress Sunaina played a small cameo and had combination scene with Vijay. In fact, she was asked to call him a brother. Here is Sunaina talking about her working experience with Vijay in Theri.

"To be frank, I felt so bad to call him (Vijay) my brother. But experience wise, it was so special, something that I will remember for the rest of my life. That small sequence in the film was shot for two days. The whole shooting experience, the conversation that I had with Vijay and Atlee were memorable. So I was very happy to shoot for that sequence and the rest is history. Everyone knows how well that scene came out. It was indeed a memorable experience to work with Vijay."
