Samuthirakani’s Thondan, starring Vikranth gets actress Sunaina to play a pivotal role. The film also has Soori, Thambi Ramaiah and Samuthirakani himself in crucial roles and music by Justin Prabhakaran.

On an exclusive chat with Behindwoods, Sunaina said, “Thondan’s shoot is yet to start and it deals with important issues.” She has previously worked with Samuthirakani in Neerparavai. “I think I was chosen for this role after Kani sir saw my performance in Neerparavai", she added.

Samuthirakani’s recent release Appa was critically acclaimed and did well at the box office.The National award winning, Visaranai actor is known for his direction of unique, content oriented films that have a touch on a social issue.
