SURIYA TO LEAD CHENNAI SINGAMS

We had earlier reported that there would be star cricket tournament on the 17th of April. Basically, this event is scheduled to raise funds for Nadigar Sangam building.

Now, we have some details about the different teams. Sources say that the grand event will be inaugurated by stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan and that the satellite rights are reportedly sold to Sun TV Network.

It was earlier reported that the teams will be captained by big stars and it’s a six overs match. Now we hear that there would be eight teams captained by Suriya, Karthi, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi, Arya, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi and Vishal.

The teams are said to be named after important districts of Tamil Nadu and they are likley to be  Madurai Kaalais, Chennai Singams, Nellai Dragons, Thanjai Warriors, Trichy Tigers, Ramnad Rhinos, Kovai Kings and Salem Cheetahs

It is speculated that "Singam" star Suriya might be the skipper of 'Chennai Singams'. All teams are rumored to have 6 players each. Official information from Nadigar Sangam is expected soon and we would keep updating you.
