Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor makes her debut with Dhadak
 

There have always been speculations about ace actress Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor's silver screen debut. Now, the official announcement has finally come through director Karan Johar.
 

Jhanvi Kapoor would be making her debut as heroine with the film titled Dhadak, starring opposite Ishaan Khattar, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in association with Zee Studios. This film is an official remake of the Marathi hit film, Sairat, which was unanimously praised by critics widely.


The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, of Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame. The makers have also announced that this romantic film would be hitting the screens on July 6, 2018.

Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is making headlines for quite some time now. The latest we hear from Bollywood daily is that she has signed three Karan Johar's production films so far.

Karan Johar who is set to produce five films in the next two years seems to have roped in Jhanvi Kapoor for three of these films. It is rather unclear who is going to direct these films. It looks like Jhanvi Kapoor will have busy schedules soon after her debut.

Reports also claim that she will soon kick start her debut film toward the end of this year which will be a 2018 release. On the other hand, Sridevi is also happy about Jhanvi's entry to the film industry. In her recent interview, Sridevi said it was all about her daughter's decision, and she would support her as a mother and as a senior actress in choosing an appropriate script.
