For all those who watched the Tamil version of the docu-drama Sachin A Billion Dreams, must have felt a familiar feel in Sachin’s voice. It belongs to none other than Sricharan who made people sit up and take note of his work in Payanam (as the terrorist and the scaredy young man) and also one of Jayam Ravi’s friends, Kathiresan IPS in Thani Oruvan. Sricharan has also done a guest role in Brindhavanam.
Sricharan is excited to be the voice of Sachin when he says, “The writer of the film Siva Ananth knows me for a long time. One day, out of the blue, he called me and said that they are testing for the voice for Sachin and he wanted me to give it a shot. When I heard Sachin, I was immediately excited. It was like a God send for me because Sachin and I share the same birthday. I think our paths are destined to cross some time!
I gave my voice. It is a docu drama and they wanted the voice to be natural. I did not want to mimic and was keen to stick to the tone, but keep my voice intact. We were a little apprehensive if it would be received well by the audience because everybody knows Sachin’s voice. But apparently, it has been received well. It has been a satisfactory feel for me creatively”.
