MADRAS, KABALI, KASHMORA AND NOW…

SR Prabhu’s Potential Studio’s debut production venture Maya starring Nayanthara and directed by Ashwin Saravanan had earned acclaim and the production house will now be funding their second project Maanagaram directed by debutant Lokesh Kanakaraj. This film features Sri, Sundeep Kishan, Charlie and Ramadoss while Regina Cassandra will be the heroine.

Talking to behindwoods on what made him choose this story for bankrolling, SR Prabhu elaborates, “Maanagaram is a social thriller. Four people from outside Chennai come to the city seeking employment. What they experience in the city forms part of the core premise. It is a very interesting script and has a good message. The message will not be forced one. The way Lokesh has written the screenplay impressed me and that’s why I decided to fund the film.  Shooting is completed. Post production is going on now. Javed a new music director has scored music for this film which has many newcomers. Stunt has been done by Anbarivu who has done Madras, Kabali and Kashmora. We are planning an audio launch in March”.
