About rumors regarding Time of Death of SPB:

SP Charan: "If you have any doubts regarding the time of dad's demise, you can very well check the death certificate - you can see that he had died at the time when i had announced. Spreading rumors that he had died before this, and I didn't announce because I didnt have money to settle the final bill - all these are ultimately false news."

Medical details of SP Balasubrahmanyam as revealed by Doctors at the press meet:

"SPB had signs of a severe infection slightly before he died - it is called superbug - antibiotics did not have any effect - that's how it all started. 24 hours before death, we took a CT Scan, and we saw a slight bleeding in the brain - but that's a usual side effect of ECMO treatment. But the infection was getting severe on the side - it was not getting better, ultimately leading to the cardiac arrest - that's the medical details. His lungs were failing - we couldn't recover those - that was the reason for death, not COVID."

About hospital billing rumors:

SP Charan: "First and foremost - The treatment is over, dad's gone, and we the family are trying to coming out this of this grief but are not having time for even that because of the rumors. But with respect to MGM Healthcare, we came with full trust, and we don't have any regrets. 

" "Billing was very high, we couldn't pay, Tamil Nadu didn't help us, Indian Vice President 's daughter came and paid the bill" - all these stories came and these are absolutely baseless rumors. Without any clarity, these stories have been spread and was given prominence - thats what has come to this stage.

"We had been paying the hospital consistently time and again, and after dad's death, we had come with the money for final settlement - but they did not charge us. They said - "Please dont pay anything extra, we will make things quick for you and you can take him home as early as possible". They have treated dad as caringly as possible and made things easy for us, we are indebted to them for life.

"Also, it doesn't mean that they repaid us the money or anything, monetary payments have been done properly - all financial details cannot be divulged as such. Is everyone worried that dad's gone, or about billing of the hospital? Why am I being questioned particularly about that? That's between us and the hospital, and nothing for everyone to worry about. Please forgive me if I had said anything wrong. Give us time and space to grieve", he said.
