The votes cast in the South Indian Actors Guild election were recently counted after 3 years. Nasser was elected chairman, Vishal general secretary, Karthi treasurer and Poochi Murugan and Karunas as vice-chairmen.

Following this, Actors' Union executives Nasser, Vishal, Karthi and Poochi Murugan met and congratulated Chief Minister MK Stalin. They also met actor Kamal Haasan.

Actor Rajini's Request

Earlier, actor Rajinikanth had requested that the name "South Indian Actors' Association be removed and renamed as Tamil Nadu Actors' Association". Meanwhile, South Indian Actors' Association executives including actors Nasser, Karthi and Poochi Murugan visited actor Rajini's house and met him.

The actor has requested that the name of the South Indian Actors' Association be changed to Tamil Nadu Actors' Association.

Actor Vishal, general secretary of the South Indian Actors' Association, told reporters at the end of March that work on the building would begin in full swing and that the decision to rename the South Indian Actors' Association as Tamil Nadu Actors' Association would be taken once the building gets completed.
