Rajinikanth’s Kabali is just a few days away and it cannot be disputed that if someone says this is the oft-discussed topic right now.
The songs scored by Santhosh Narayanan have been liked by the masses and the critics. The track Veera Thurandhara has hit the bull’s eye and one of the singers Lawrence Ramu shares his excitement with us.
“I am a metal singer and have a metal band called Jhanu. I also write songs and sing them. We play our own songs and don’t cover film songs. Songs will be on God and spirituality, but in a metal version. Singer Pradeep had made a film called Andhakaram and he called me to write songs in it. That’s how we became friends and later came to know Santhosh Narayanan who listened to Jhanu songs and gave me this opportunity.
Like everyone I am a huge fan of Rajinikanth and after seeing Dharmadurai, I decided to enter the film world. After seeing Madras, I wanted to be in Ranjith’s film but I am glad that I got to sing in his film and that too in a Superstar film. I am very happy. I am yet to see Rajini sir and I am sure God would help me in this. I don’t know if Rajini sir had said anything about the song but Ranjith had apparently mentioned in an interview that his favorite is ‘Veera Thurandhara’.”
It has to be noted that Lawrence was the baddie in Enakku Innoru Peru Irukku and will also be seen in a crucial role in Sam Anton’s next film.
We wish Lawrence Ramu the best!
