Simran was last seen in Sivakarthikeyan's Seemaraja as the antagonist and will be next seen in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Petta. Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and is bankrolled by Sun Pictures with Anirudh scoring the music. The movie is hitting the screens on January 10, with some heavy expectations.
 

The evergreen actress graced the occasion of the Iconic Edition of Behindwoods Gold Medals 2018. She won the prestigious Woman Icon of Inspiration in Cinema award. It is a known fact that Simran is a big fan of Rajinikanth, and narrowly missed out on acting on Chandramukhi.
 

Simran stated that she always watched Superstar wherever he goes when they were shooting for Petta.
