Actor Simbu joins the list of celebrities voicing their opinions against government policies, with his latest song tagged "Demonetization Anthem". Anticipating protest and agitation by the BJP against this anthem, Simbu's house in T Nagar has been given police protection.

The song has vocals by the star actor and deals with the negative effects suffered last year due to demonetization. Kabilan Vairamuthu's lyrics take a jab at Vijay Mallya too, as the business tycoon was caught in a humongous money laundering case and took asylum in England. The song features in an upcoming film 'Thattrom Thookrom' with music composed by Balamurali Balu.
