India is currently going through a tough time, battling the second wave of the coronavirus. We are poised for a third wave, as well. Amidst all this, actor Siddharth, who’s known for being socially conscious, has raised several pertinent questions.
He took to Twitter and wrote -
Corporates and states willing to buy vaccines directly are unable to. Why? Meanwhile some states are reporting existing stocks going unused. Why? Is there need for new official mass communication regarding the vaccine. At this rate when will India be reasonably vaccinated? (sic).

Responses to Siddharth’s tweets were as such:
Becos there is no proper plan for http://vaccine.one side people are in que for vaccine and another side all celebs and politicians asking people to go for vaccine.why can’t gov put the vaccine who r interested without waiting for someone who is not interested.humanity??
Vaccine companies want to sell the vaccines directly to the central government but not to anyone else. The companies are asking for indemnity clauses, and they do not want to deal with each and every state for such clauses.
But GOI asked the states to procure the vaccines, already some states placed global tenders?
The mess we are in gets murkier day by day. What lies ahead gives one the shudders. All one can do is hope that by some luck people in our country are saved (sic).
