Actress cum singer Shruti Haasan has been hitting the headlines off late and it is for the right reasons as she has given a befitting reply and slammed a troll who asked her if she could speak Hindi because she is from the South.
During an interactive session in the social media a fan popped up the question if she could speak Hindi. Sharing a video of her miffed, the actress said, “List of things you probably shouldn’t do around me. One is asking me, ‘Aap Hindi bol payengi kya you’re from the South na,’ as if it’s a different planet. We’re all making movies; we’re all working hard, no time for prejudice in 2022.”
For the unversed, Shruti had made her acting debut in the film industry with the Hindi movie ‘Luck’, in which she was starred opposite Imran Khan. And then she went on to be seen in Hindi movies like Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, D-Day, Gabbar Is Back, The Power to name a few.
And now, the actress is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Amazon Original series, ‘Bestseller’. It will premiere on February 18 and features an ensemble star cast, including Shruti, Mithun Chakraborty, Arjan Bajwa, Gauahar Khan, Satyajeet Dubey, and Sonalee Kulkarni in prominent roles.
