Recently director Gautham Ramachandran had talked to us about his debut Tamil project, a remake of the Kannada film, Ulidavaru Kandanthe, which will have Nivin Pauly as the lead.
The latest news on this is that Shraddha Srinath of the recent Kannada release U turn will be making her Tamil debut through this film.
Confirming the same, Gautham says, “Yes, Shraddha is on board our film. I had auditioned her a few months ago. In fact, she was the first person I auditioned. I gave her a few dialogues on the spot and she could not do it. But we had really liked the look and performance. Afterwards, we met a lot of people, but nothing matched the character that I had in my script. We called her back and made one more round of audition. In the second round she auditioned superbly; by the time, we had given her dialogues in advance and we were very happy then. That’s when we confirmed her. I have a few more interesting casting announcements, which will be done in a couple of days”.
