“GAUTHAM IS A REAL SWEETHEART''

Shraddha Srinath who will be seen in Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai also has Ivan Thandhiran, Richie and Vikram Vedha. She shares with us about working in Ivan Thandhiran.

My role
Ivan Thandhiran is a romantic action entertainer. I am Asha in the film and I play an engineering college student from a middle class background. Asha has worked hard to enter into the college. She is very strong and bold, voices her opinions. There are certain unfair things that happen to her and her college mates that set the tone of the film.

Director Kannan
We have completed Ivan Thandhiran. I have never met someone more encouraging as a director than Kannan sir. Every shot he would cheer me with good words and motivation. For someone like me who is taking my baby steps in Tamil industry, this is much needed.

Gautham Karthik
Gautham is a real sweetheart. He is very kind and down to earth. He is the son of a big star but has no airs whatsoever. We went for a song shoot to Pondicherry and that was the first time I am doing a romantic song shoot. I was a little nervous. But Gautham used to tell me- let go of all your inhibitions; you look great and such peppy statements.  Gautham is nice not just to me but to everyone, his staff and the crew. After every action scene, he would go to the stuntmen and ask if he had hurt them. He would go apologize to them.

RJ Balaji
RJ Balaji and I hit it off at Kaatru Veliyidai sets.  I was so happy when I knew he is there in Ivan Thandiran as I had at least one friend to start off with, in a new film. He is a very genuine and a warm person. I rely on his advice when it comes to Tamil films and he is one of the go-to persons in Tamil film industry.
